Basic Introduction to Metal Clay
This workshop introduces the student to the properties of metal clay.  Learn while creating pendants and
earrings.  You will learn to roll, impress, model, set stones, create cutouts and more using metal clay in lump,
slip and paste forms.  Individually tailored to meet your needs in my home studio.
Beyond The Basics
This one day workshop demonstrates ways to add dimension to your work.  Learn to use the potter's coil,
cutouts, stones and other elements that keep your work from being "flat."  Student will need to purchase clay.
Hollow Forms
Learn to make vessels, beads or other hollow forms.  This workshop will require either 2 days, or the use of
pre-made porcelain bead forms, or for the student to prepare the form at home and bring it to the
workshop after it has dried.  The student will select whether to create a vessel or other hollow form, or
several beads of varying sizes.  Discussion of form materials.  Student will need to purchase cork clay
and/or bead forms, slip, syringe and possibly lump clay.
Rings
Learn 3 methods of creating rings with Metal Clay.  This workshop uses methods that obtain an approximate
ring size.  Student will need to purchase clay and stones if desired.  If you need a specific size, you will also
need to have 3 Hattie's Patties (or similar product).  You will love your rings!
Filigree
This one day workshop will teach you to make beautiful "filigree" pieces, with or without setting stones.
Student will need to purchase syringes and stones, if desired.
Dichroic Glass Cabochons  2 day workshop
Learn how to create your own beautiful dichroic glass cabochons by fusion, which you will set in metal clay
on the second day.  (Dates are adjustable to your schedule, and do not have to be consecutive.)  The included
glass pack will be enough to make 3 or 4 average sized cabs.  If you choose to make smaller ones, you will
be able to make more.  If you wish to make more, additional glass packs will be available for purchase.  We
have to take 2 days with this class because of the kiln time needed for firing, annealing and cooling the glass.
$110 includes 2 partial days of instruction (this and the following workshop), glass kit, access to tools, and
kiln firing.
Dichroic Glass Pendants
This workshop will teach you the special techniques to  incorporate dichroic glass into your Metal Clay  work.
(This is the 2nd day for the previous listing.  If you would like to take this class without making your own glass first, the
class fee is $60 and includes instruction, access to the instructor's tools, kiln firing and two dichroic glass cabochons.
You will need one or more low firing temp syringes.  Additional cabochons are available for those desiring to make
additional pendants.
